Description
An international cast uses their personal digital odyssey stories to inspire hilarious improvised scenes.
You know... one moment, you're searching the origins of the French horn, and the next, you're on an obscure webpage obsessing over the migratory patterns of penguins.
Time is of NO essence. Before you know it, hours have evaporated, and you're an armchair expert on everything from ancient Sumerian bread recipes to the biomechanics of dragonfly wings.
Welcome to the world of endless clicks, where curiosity isn't just satisfied—it's insatiable.

Everybody's a Podcaster Feat. "Terry Gross" It's the end of the year, the end of the podcast, and the end of whatever was left in the fridge. Join us as the BIT Comedy Network wraps up 2025 with one final, chaotic, heartfelt, and slightly undercooked episode of Dinner Party. What's on the menu? 🎧 A "Podcast Party" hosted by the Double Ls (Luke & Laura), where microphones are hot and egos are hotter. 🐟 A shady fish-based gift from aquarium moguls Jim and Janet of "Something's Fishy." 🏛️ An unexpected guest: actual NPR royalty Terry Gross shows up, and things get even weirder. 🎮 Dean and Thea, the Bitcoin siblings, attempt to evangelize crypto in exchange for gas money and a meal. 🐠 A tragic culinary climax involving a 12-inc halibut, a mayor, and one very regrettable dinner choice. Unforgettable Highlights: 🥤 Mr. Sunshine: gift, friend, snack 🌍 Terry Gross discusses dried fish taxidermy. Seriously. 💋 Tense debates about fish hierarchy: are you a bottom feeder or a visionary? 🤔 Political intrigue, podcast sponsorships, and one potential fish conspiracy (cue new spinoff: Something Fishy: North Side Secrets) DIRECTOR/CREATOR: Billy Merritt Editor/Producer: Hill Kane Guest-Starring: Luke Bovard + Yuehan Liu (The Double Ls - Luke and Laura) Brett Kohler (Luis, Roommate) Hill Kane + Jim Tripp (Janet + Jim, Something's Fishy proprietors) Flannery Wilson + Don Slovin ("Terry Gross" and her sidekick producer Don) Thea Marie Thorkildsen + Dean Aisles (Sibling Crypto Hacks) Featured Sponsors: 🔺 Butterball (for your poultry needs) 🔺 HomeGoods (pillows AND propaganda) 🔺 Something's Fishy Aquarium Supply 🔺 BitCoin Birthday Cards & Cult Merch Listen in and remember: 💔 Fish are friends...until they're the mayor. 🍽️ North side or south side, we all bleed chowder. 💬 And in improv, as in life: "Yes, and... please don't eat the guests." This is the final episode of the BIT Comedy Network for 2025. We'll see you in 2026 with more madness, more characters, and hopefully fewer fish-based tragedies. Apply to join the ensemble at bitcomedynetwork.com.
Billy and the BIT CREW players wish you the very merriest of Christmases, the happiest of Chanukahs, and a fantabulous and super-fun Holiday Season/New Year. As an homage to "holiday dinners." Billy insisted that we recreate that frenetic and sometimes awkward ritual with a special improv form called "Dinner Party." We even made a theme song. We hope you enjoy this special Christmas edition of Podcast Town. We are releasing a super, secret, double-dog-dared, New Year's bonus edition of DINNER PARTY at the stroke of Midnight on New Year's Eve. Listen to the full version of the Dinner Party Theme song! North Caldwell, New Jersey - with Special Guest - Margot Escott Tiny town. Big secrets. One suspiciously spiritual traffic light. Birch beer, buried mafia lore, an abandoned sanitarium, and a Church of the Traffic Light that really leans into metaphysics — Margo Escott brings us back to North Caldwell, NJ, and Podcast Town builds a delightfully deranged local variety show around it. Expect tomato politics, a Sopranos-adjacent tour, electrocution "illuminators," and at least one tomato to the face. In this episdode: Host Billy Merritt interviews Margo about growing up in a town with no stores and no traffic lights — until suddenly there is one. The town's favorite podcast - "Tonight in North Caldwell," complete with call-ins, commercials (Tony Soprano Tours; Freddie's Funeral Home), and a fireman's picnic parade gone very, very sideways. Highlights include: the Overbrook Sanitarium ruins, Big Al's Maserati Tomato Farm and its overprotective daughter, the Church of the Traffic Light, and the surprise Tomato Queen pageant (chaos, chanting, and tomato splatter included). Standout lines (for the quote-tweet pile) "Praise all stoplights." "Traffic light be with you." "Who dat bitch?" Cast & Credits Host: Billy Merritt. Guest & town chronicler: Margo Escott. Full Podcast Town improv troupe — characters include Mildy/Lisa, Tim, Luke, Big Al, Tia (Traffic Light priest), and more. Heads up / Trigger note Contains playful references to mental-health institutions, prisons, and mock electrocution scenes (improv, not real). Listener discretion advised for anyone sensitive to those themes.\ Enjoy — and remember: if you're ever confused by a new traffic light, consult the parish. 🚦 Sponsors: Annual Firemen's Picnic, Church of the Traffic Light, Big Al Maserati's Tomato Farm, Dr. Wilson - Death Therapist and Child Illuminator, Tony Soprano Tour Guide Company, Freddie's Funeral Home. Rodeo clowns. Radiohead. Room 105. Welcome to Lakeside, CA—population: weird. Host Billy Merritt welcomes ER doctor–turned–improviser Devlyn Corrigan, who takes us on a tour of his dusty hometown: Lakeside, California. What starts as a stroll down Main Street quickly gallops into full-blown rodeo madness, local teen drama, and a possibly haunted motel room. Then, the Podcast Town players transform this dusty slice of Americana into a fully improvised audio fever dream, featuring: 🎸 A Radiohead benefit concert at the rodeo (yes, that Radiohead) 🏨 Creepy conspiracies about Room 105 🐄 Clydesdales, clown training, and hitching fees 🎤 A shaky rendition of the national anthem 🧶 Crochet horse blankets, Dairy Queen showdowns, and mysterious spring water (bonus scene) 💥 Featuring: Billy Merritt (Narrator/Director) Devlyn Corrigan (Special Guest and real person) Fananary Wilson (Not a bananary) Brett Hickory (Clown-in-Training) Gail (Podcast Town's ultimate producer… maybe witch?) 🎧 Best Lines: "Don't stick it in your mouth. ...Sorry, it tastes delicious." Ever stared at a toothpaste tube and wondered if it could take you higher? In episode 18 of Rabbit Hole, Billy Merritt and the BIT Comedy players tumble from dental conspiracies and Norwegian stop-motion cartoons to hoarding hotel soaps, prank-calling Captain Crunch, and even a pirate gang in juvie. Along the way, fluoride turns into Flo Rida, the Soggies declare war, and toothpaste becomes the most questionable substance at the Cannabis Cup. It's improv chaos at its finest: absurd connections, quick character swaps, and the kind of storytelling detours only this ensemble could conjure. From corporate "green peas" to Plato's cave, with a bit of toothpaste smoke in the air, this Rabbit Hole has it all. 🚫 APOLOGIES: Dentists everywhere. Captain Crunch, Admiral Crunch, and the entire Crunch Navy. The Soggies. Norwegian stop-motion animators of Carius and Bactus. Hotel housekeeping staff. Holiday Inn, Motel 6, and The Four Seasons. Johnson & Johnson (for refilling fancy bottles with baby shampoo). The Cannabis Cup. Plato and his cave dwellers. Crank Yankers (for name-dropping). Pirates everywhere, especially juvie pirates (for making you a support group). "Green peas" and corporate America. Anyone who's ever told a story too many times (we see you, Gerard). rabbitHOLE is 100% unscripted and fueled by the BIT CREW's real-life flash memories. Welcome BACK to Pennan, Scotland! The BIT Crew has the month off so we picked one of our MOST FAVORITESISTED episodes to replay for you. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we love hearing the sound of our own voices :-). We'll be back with new episodes starting in September! Pennan became famous in the 1980s for being used as one of the main locations for the film Local Hero. Film enthusiasts have come from all over the world to make a phone call in the red telephone box in the village. Lesser known, perhaps, is Pennan's Seagull Competition. Sources vary on the purpose, rules, and outcomes of the annual event. There is a whisper campaign that Dr. Who will be in attendance this year. In recent years, seagulls have become increasingly aggressive and have chased off the once-thriving mackerel (pronounced Mack-Ah-Rell) population to the more habitable coastal waters of Norway (home to Charlie Chaplin). If you hang out at the phone booth or one of Pennan's many golf courses, you may bump into local bachelor Jake (or is it Jack)? For 2 euro, you can take a selfie with him in the phone box. Please enjoy three of the Pennan Podcast Network's delightful podcasts. How's That Work?: Hosted by Marcie Bonnet and Seafarin' Sequoia. They think they have cracked the code to how the local telephones work without lines. Where's Nessie? Nessie believer/host Dean welcomes Nessie Hunter/skeptic Don to determine whether Nessie inhabits the local bodies of water. Where Are They (Those Fish)? Janine and Patty host the show. Something or someone is scaring Pennan's mackerel off, and they aren't returning. Janine has enlisted Patty to shepherd them back to Pennan if she has to swim in the sea to do so. Sponsors include The BBC, Sam's Seagulls, Jody (Dr. Who's Companion), Jake's Fantasy Dates, and George, the forgetful and perpetually lost garbage guy! DIRECTOR/CREATOR: Billy Merritt Producer/Editor: Hill Kane CAST: Dean Aisles (Himself) Konrad Andrew (Sam of Sam's Seagulls) Terry Armstrong (Support Player) Amber Bellsdale (Patty) Luke Bovard (Seafarin' Sequoia) Don Slovin (Himself) Jason Spiro (Jody, Dr. Who's trusted companion) Lisa Steckman (Marcie Bonnet) Thea Marie Thorkildsen (Jake/Jack) Katya Vasilaky (Janine) Flannery Wilson (George) Special appearance by BILLY MERRITT as Shamus. I asked the BIT Crew to nominate their favorite episodes for a special August replay while we are on hiatus. I selected one of Thea's picks because it went back to season one - when we were all baby holers. She says, "Googlie Wooglie I like a lot because of Sensei Ken, the fun game with cool words, and just love Geoff's Keanu Reeves impersonation, and Keanu Reeves as Abraham Lincoln." Episode Five has what I consider our best ending. We all break each other—even Billy Merritt. I dare you not to laugh. We'll be back on September 13th with a brand new hole! ~~ In rabbitHOLE's fifth episode, the BIT CREW educates listeners about some critical issues, including: Googlie Wooglie Mc Dojo Grammar Police Konrad takes a deep dive into the origins of the term GOOGOL (a one with a hundred zeroes). He starts the BIT CREW off on an improv adventure of surf lingo, organized crime involving unsuspecting UK co-eds, "re-imagining" history, and mispronouncing words. Episode five has our favorite ending so far…we all just lost it – we hope you laugh so much your sides will ache, and your heart goes pitter-pat. As always, rabbitHOLE is unscripted and inspired by the CREW's real-life rabbit hole adventures. If you enjoy rabbitHOLE, follow, rate, and share rabbitHOLE with your friends! rabbitHOLE showNOTES – Episode 14 🎧 This Week's HOLES: Salon Breakups Piñata Strategies The Jumpy Poley Defense™ In this episode, Amber makes a compelling case: breaking up with your hair salon is basically ending a relationship — complete with emotional baggage and wildly inconsistent communication. She also lifts the lid on some outrageous salon screening processes. (Do you know how long it takes to cut your hair? Shouldn't they?) From there, the BIT CREW naturally spirals into couples therapy for stylists and clients… and a few other unexpected pairings. 👊 Meanwhile, "Adult Piñata" is officially an Olympic sport now (we decided), sparking heated discussion about: Childhood candy rivalries Dangerous playground games Alt-piñata materials And whether judges should be allowed to jump on defendants (spoiler: no) 💥 By the end, you may find yourself asking: What other childhood activities deserve Olympic recognition? Could postal-carrier therapy save America? And seriously… how did you survive elementary school? 🚫 APOLOGIES TO: The entire D.C. salon scene, Olympic organizers (again), stylists who don't name-drop, Piñatas, Bazookas, Machetes, bankers, therapists... you get the idea. rabbitHOLE is 100% unscripted and fueled by the BIT CREW's real-life internet spirals, nostalgic chaos, and shared trauma. If you enjoy the show, do your part: 👉 Follow, rate, and share with your most unhinged friend. 🎙️ CREDITS Director/Creator: Billy Merritt Editor/Producer: Hill Kane CAST (in order of appearance): Amber Bellsdale, Thea Marie Thorkildsen, Flannery Wilson, Lisa Steckman, Jason Spiro, Hill Kane, Brent Kohler, Don Slovin, Jason Luna, Peg Davis Produced by: The BIT Comedy Network Production + Graphics: Hill Kane, Raising Kane Media + Marketing Music: "Shark Bait" by Little Kahunas | Produced by Peter Miller (1959-2025 RIP Friend) 📍 Hosted on Libsyn.com 📧 Contact: TheBitComedyNetwork@gmail.com ©2024–2025 Billy Merritt | All Rights Reserved "The BIT" and "The BIT Comedy Network" are Trademarks owned by Billy Merritt
Our 11th Podcast Town escapade finds us in the real-life town of Marshfield, Massachusetts. Billy interviews the hilarious Peg Davis, our literal resident expert. Peg cleverly explains why the town is called MARSH VEGAS and confirms that Steve Carrel indeed owns the general store that his sister-in-law runs because...well...he's a busy celebrity type guy. Find out what else Peg reveals and how the BIT Players bring the town to life with their podcast segments and scenic adventures! Enjoy these highlights from the Marshfield Podcast Network: The DIY Show - YOU CAN DO IT: Hosted by newlyweds Molly and Hal Cunningham. This week's projects include making your own boat and birdhouses. The couple bravely embarks on their homemade dinghy's maiden voyage while trying to avoid the many surfers dotting the shoreline. We are unsure how Hal got trapped in the rafters at Bob's Steakhouse, but we hope he finds his way out! YOU BETCHA!: Hosted by the semi-nefarious Gamblerino siblings, Gil and Gilda. These two find ways for Marsh Vegans (VAY-Gans, not Vee-Gans) to bet on everything from little league games to Pickle Bowling and surf lessons. Gil even hosts a "speakeasy" game night in the house they inherited from their Granny Sisterino Gamberino. We are convinced that the fix is in at the Senior Center, but you can form your own opinions. (NOTE: Gilda and Molly are high school besties.) Hall of Fame - Marshfield: Bobby and Robby may or may not be broadcasting from the Senior Center's basement. We are unsure where they come from, how they know each other, or why they have a podcast. We DO know that they have an intense bromance going, and Robby's ancestors fought on the "wrong side" of the American Revolution. Their podcast conjures up historical characters, like Benedict Arnold, primarily to shame Robby and guilt him into paying for their Surf Fest entry fees and lunch overlooking a decorative balcony. Sponsors include Mom's Donuts, Levitate Shops, 2025 St. Patrick's Day Surf Festival, BoB's Steakhouse, the Gamblerino Kids, Kane's Sign Shop, the Marshfield Senior Center, The Pickle Bowling Association of Massachusetts, and the National Pickle Bowling Association. If you haven't already, head on over to our MOVIE! MOVIE! Podcast for a two-part homage to Wes Anderson films, we call "The Grand Cosmic Hotel." WOW! This is our lucky 13th Episode of rabbitHOLE. Today's Holes: Philosopher Smackdown Terms of Art Patrick Swayze Flannery explains why analytic philosophers rule and post-structuralism is B.S. Some of them even make cameos. By the end of the episode, you may wonder if time exists, what's real, if there is beauty, and why is there so much "accidental" wetness in romcoms? The living rooms cheerfully explore soccer parents, jargon, violent ballerinas, and some of Patrick Swayze's best work. APOLOGIES: Philosophy (yes... all of it), ballet, Olympics, reality cooking shows, medical personnel, Plato, youth soccer, announcers, France, Italy, alternative restauranteurs, perpetually tardy people (YKWYA), and of course, Max Headroom. As always, rabbitHOLE is unscripted and inspired by the CREW's real-life rabbit hole adventures. If you enjoy rabbitHOLE, follow, rate, and share it with your friends!
